Culture Night at Nikolaj Kunsthal

Come along to the traditional Culture Night at Nikolaj Kunsthal on Friday 13 October. With a Culture Pass, you will get free entry as well as free transport on busses, S-trains and the Metro

Culture Night is just around the corner!

This year, the evening’s musical feature at Nikolaj Kunsthal comes from iomfro, who perform in lyrical pop songs about, among other things, climate anxiety, career plans and love anguish. In connection with her performance during the Culture Night, iomfro will play an intimate concert in a musically pared-down set-up – and in collaboration with her faithful choregrapher and performer Ida Hørlyck – where the mediating body comes to the fore. In an abstract exhibition space, the feelings and thoughts contained in the textual universe are given a living body. iomfro can be experienced at 20:00 and 22:00, respectively.

It is of course also possible to explore our current exhibitions. Experience the group exhibition ”The Artists’ Copenhagen”, which – as a part of the World Capital of Architecture – zooms in on representations of the city experienced through the eyes of artists.

It is also possible to delve into the exhibition ”Beauty in the Beast” by Shane Brox, who is concerned with seeking freedom through loss of control and the courage to be yourself. Stepping into Brox’s inner world is like being transported to mental freedom in another dimension basted on instinct, creativity and acceptance. Here a strange and unpredictable universe opens up, which envelops the visitor in a sensory-saturated whole.

The exhibition ”Sacred Internet in Climatime” – which is a part of Nikolaj Kunsthal’s project space Platform – was created by Samara Sallam in collaboration with Kate Sterchi.

In addition, there will be a unique lighting installation by Stage and lighting designer Maria Sneding Rohde and ongoing guided tours of Nikolaj Tower every hour.

With a Culture Pass, you will get free entry to Nikolaj Kunsthal, incl. free transport on busses, S-trains and the Metro the entire night (zone 1-99).
