Nikolaj Kunsthal is currently showing three new exhibitions

Nikolaj Kunsthal presents new exhibitions by Mikkel Carl, Tova Mozard, Laurits Gulløv and Rebekka Elisabeth Anker-Møller. All three exhibitions can be seen until 30 July.

After a shorter closing period with dismantling and construction, Nikolaj Kunsthal is once again ready to open its doors to the public!

Until Sunday 30 July, our visitors can look forward to exploring the following three exhibitions:

Mikkel Carl - Truth Is Like Poetry (Lower Gallery)

At the end of May, artist Mikkel Carl will take over the Lower Gallery with his exhibition "Truth Is Like Poetry", a total installation in which the architectural possibilities of the old church are brought into play.

Mikkel Carl, who was educated from the Royal Danish Art Academy and has a BA in History of Ideas, is concerned with materiality, signs and scale. His work practice is usually site-specific. Or location-sensitive as he himself calls it.

Tova Mozard – ILOVERUSS (Upper Gallery)

With a background in the Hollywood film industry and entertainment culture, Tova Mozard explores what happens when the show ends, the cameras turn off, and we are left to create our own lives instead of being enveloped in the world of fiction.

Tova Mozard’s exhibition unfolds at Nikolaj Kunsthal’s Upper Gallery and Tower Gallery. It is her first major solo exhibition in Copenhagen. Tova Mozard’s works reflect her search for a deeper meaning in life in a society where self-forgetfulness and consumption dominate everyday life

Laurits Gulløv & Rebekka Elisabeth Anker-Møller - Wholes (Platform)

As a part of Platform, Nikolaj Kunsthal presents the exhibition "Wholes", created by visual artist Laurits Malthe Gulløv in collaboration with curator Rebekka Elisabeth Anker-Møller. The exhibition generally deals with the relationship between isolation and coherence through the notion of the exhibition walls as a thin membrane between two different spatial logics.

When visiting Nikolaj Kunsthal, you can sit down in our newly renovated café and shop, created in collaboration with MEE Studio.

We are happy to be able to offer inviting settings for our visitors – both those who would like to combine art visits with coffee, wine or snacks and those visitors who simply need a meeting place or a short stop on the way. Our café and shop can – just like the art centre – be visited Tuesdat to Friday at 11-18 and Saturday-Sunday between 11-17.

See you at Nikolaj Kunsthal!
