We are building new exhibitions and will be closed until 7 September

Look forward to experiencing brand new exhibitions by Shane Brox (Upper Gallery), Samara Sallam in collaboration with Kate Sterchi (Platform) and the group exhibition "Kunstnernes København" (Lower Gallery). All three exhibitions will open on 7 Sep.

Here at Nikolaj Kunsthal, we are now busy preparing three new exhibitions. Therefore, we are closed in the period from Tuesday 1 August to Thursday 7 September. From kl. 16:00 on the same day, we invite you to the opening of our new exhibitions – take a look Events on this page.

Shane Brox: Beauty in the Beast

In autumn, the Upper Gallery is transformed into a sensual universe populated with brightly coloured Soft Sculptures. Behind the exhibition "Beauty in the Beast" stands Shane Brox, who celebrates the liberating creativity and the inner child in all of us.

Kunstnernes København 

"Kunstnernes København" (”The Artists’ Copenhagen”) is the title of a group exhibition at the Lower Gallery that zooms in on representations of the city experienced through the eyes of Danish artists. The exhibition takes place on the occasion of the World Capital of Architecture and includes contributions from, among others, Molly Haslund, Asmund Havsteen-Mikkelsen, Skjold Rambow, Superflex, Uffe Isolotto and Sahar Jamili.

Samara Sallam & Kate Sterchi: Sacred Internet in Climatime

Behind the creation of the Platform exhibition "Sacred Internet in Climatime", is a story about two women who, separated by the Atlantic Ocean, engage in both a personal and artistic exchange of words and an interaction of memories.
